Default Outlook Corporate e-mail server question

Please Login to Remove!

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this. I am using BIS and would to accomplish only getting my e-mails on my bb when my office outlook is closed. Seems to work most of the time but not all. If in outlook i set it to leave a copy on the server and then choose the amount of days I would like it to stay there, say 5, will that only leave read messages there for 5 days or all e-mail that is on there for 5 days. My main concern is mail i may not have read will on my desktop to say download an attachment ill be gone. Also by leaving a copy on the server i will get all e-mail on my bb and desktop? I am using a pop server, tried imap, sucked....
