Before you say anything... I have searched, I have called Cingular and I am on my last nerve with this.

I use two major third party apps on my Blackberry 8700c. Ramble IM and an SSH client... I recently tried the Mobile IM for Blackberry from Web Messenger because I wanted Yahoo access. I am not sure if this is just a coincidence or not but after installing it and it not working - whenever I try to use my SSH client or Ramble I get the following error "Invalid Connection String: could not open tunnel - failed."

I have called Cingular who assured it was not them. I verifed my APN setting and everything else. I thinking this other application might have damaged a setting....

I use the desktop redirector and not a BES server for this device.

I should also point out that my mail and Cingular browser still work.

Sounds like Cingular could have removed your access to the WAP APN.

Maybe one of their so-called audits.

Though I did already call them - I guess I should try and call again? Has anyone heard of this happening?

I think the data department, which is probably who you'll want to speak to is closed weekends.
