Default Blackberry Leather OEM Holster

Please Login to Remove!

I purchased two leather holsters for the 8700c directly from Blackberry. I have noticed that almost everytime I remove the BB from the holster that the BB is on the internet browser screen. The BB is placed into the holster while on the home screen. It appears that the screen is turned off as the BB is inserted into the holster. And I do insert the BB into the holster with the screen facing inward. I have not been able to determine what causes the BB to jump to the browser screen when I remove the BB from the case. This problem happens with both of my BB's in both holsters.

It appears that RIM has sewn a magnet layer into the holster as the entire back of the holster is magnetized. This is not the same construction as the original plastic case which has a magnet imbedded in the plastic case in a specific location.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? It's annoying enough to think about going back to the original plastic holder, as unpleasant as that may be.

This is the case with the belt clip. According to the Blackberry web site, the case is specifically designed for the 8700.

I've never had this issue and I've been using the case since it was released.

Good thought, My center convenience button is set to bluetooth and unless I lock the keys before I holster the BB, the holster keeps turning the bluetooth on and off

If I remember correctly it's set to the Internet Browser by default, which is why I asked.
