Default Who else was an hour late for work -- 8700c alarm bug?

Please Login to Remove!

My alarm setting is simple -- 07:00 each morning, weekends off, snooze on. I have noticed the snooze doesn't always work, and that if you spin the wheel to slience it right when it goes of at 07:00 (so as not to wake others), it powers off. Have to make sure I hit "snooze" and click enter.

Anyways, after the time change this weekend, my alarm went of at 08:00 this morning. I was late for work. I just checked the alarm settings -- and it's 07:00! I guess I will see what happens tomorrow...

Anyone else have this problem this weekend?

Piers

Well that is only because I am studying for the Washington State Bar exam, and I'm on my own schedule. A few years ago I would have already run 3-6 miles, done over 100 pushups, situps and 20-40 pullups, had breakfast, and been at work before 7, when I was in the Marine Corps! Ooh-rah!

It could have been a network error. Sometimes I have to turn off my phone and then turn it back on to get the time change in different time zones, it may have done the same thing.

Or if you went to bed before the time change and didn't press any buttons to update your blackberry, it didn't catch the time change. That also happens.

Mine went off like normal...no problems at all. I keep my BB on all the time so maybe that had something to do with it like Liv said.

I have you all beat.

My coworker has been picking me up from my hotel at 7:30 to go to work, but my body has not yet adjusted fully to Korea time, so even though I have been going to bed around 2130 KST, I'm waking up between 0300 and 0400 KST wide awake. It is sort of a blessing in disguise as normally I am extremely tired in the morning no matter how much sleep I get, but being awake for 3 hours with nothing to do sucks. There is no high speed internet in my hotel, and I don't have the right plug adapter for Korea, so I can't use my laptop too much. Half of the TV channels shut off for the night. I'm hoping to move over to the Hilton tomorrow since I'm not leaving Seoul like I thought I was.

The thing I hate about my alarm is the fact that is generally goes off 1 minute early! I have it set for 0730 and it starts ringing at 0729! When I pick the thing up to shut it off the clock clearly says 0729... Anyone else seen this?

Also, sometimes I notice the timestamp on my incoming messages is 1 minute later than what the clock says. If the clock says 1330, the timestamp on the new message will read 1331.

Very odd and annoying... Ive tried using all three different time sources (BlackBerry, Network, None) to no avail...

Anyone?

Strange problem. As I understand, Blackberry is the setting that synchs with RIM. (I use that and Daylight Savings Time updated automatically.)
Your one minute issue sounds like a software bug in your installation. The most likely solution would be to use it as an excuse to upgrade your OS if you have not already done so.

I had problems with the 7100g but never with the 8700c.

I set min for 8 every day and I snooze it for an hour and get up. Never had a problem with any of those functions.

maybe you slept through it?
