Default "Central America" timezone

I live in Chicago, and as such live in the Central time zone. For some reason, everytime I sync my 8700, it switches to Central American time. Does anyone have any thoughts on this one? Thanks.

Try the following.
  1. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager > Intellisync > Auto start > uncheck Update device's date and time.
  2. Check what time zone your PC is set to.
  3. Pull the battery from the BlackBerry for 10 seconds.
