Lightbulb Newbie to the 7100 world, what will I need?

Please Login to Remove!

This is my first Bb and I was wondering what all do I need to get started. I am getting in the mail a 7105T from a private seller with a home charger. I know I need a USB cable to connect it to the computer (I think). What else do I need, both accessories and programs for my computer / my Bb?

Thanks in advance for any constructive advice.

Wirelessly posted (7130e VZW: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry7130e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

The first thing you should do is read the manual.

Most blackberry's dont come with manuals. At least the ones from Cingular dont, just quick start guides (which are pretty much useless)

If the private seller is reputable, they will have included the desktop software for you to load on your computer. When you have that loaded your good to go and you can choose to sync your BB with most PIMs available.

You will need to pick a SP if you dont already have one. If you do, you need to add a data package and change your IMEI on your account. If your on BES, just check the BES section here for proper guidance.

If you need further help, check the links in my signature. Good luck

It is not coming with any software. I saw some downloads here. Will that provide me with the desktop software needed?

My SP is T-mobile. I do not have their data package, but I need to add it.
