Default 8700g resets on bluetooth connection

Please Login to Remove!

Howdy - new user so apologie sif the thread/answer to this exists but my search didn't find one.

I have purchased a new 8700g. Managed to get the 8700 to pair with the Bluetooth kit in my BMW 325 (2005 model) with out a hitch and it now pairs/connects straight away when I get in the car but every time it connects, the 8700 resets itself - reboots completely. It happens very time without fail. My previous phone - Samsung - worked fine on this car.
I have checked handheld O/S version and I am running version 4.1 so I seem to be on the latest release of the O/S.

Any thoughts please?

Try reinstalling the OS and see if the problem persists. If it does, I'd get a replacement. It's probably an issue with the Bluetooth on that model.

Ok - Thanks - I did check the blackberry web site (blackberry.com) for later O/S versions for the handheld but it appears that 2.7 is the latest version listed on the site. Have I missed something?

I am interested in your resolution for this particular issue. I am seeing this as well. The device is running the firmware available via the BlackBerry.com website as of this moment. I'm not sure what steps would be required to resolve this particular issue.

If I can't get this working, perhaps I will call warranty replacement....
