This is the case supplied with my BB, which seems to work well. It's not leather and will probably wear quickly. I've not seen it for sale anywhere, let alone on UK sites. Anyone know where spares can be bought? Clip is the swivel type, BTW

Well if you find it someplace please let me know that is more my speed, and the fact tht is not leather doesnt matter, I made one like that from an old palm case and I attached the magnets on the outside with electrical tape, one on each side so I dont have to worry about which way I put it the case. Mine is not leather either and I have been using it for about 4 months and the wear seems to be fine so I would not worry If I were you but please keep a look out for it I like it.

Not too bad. I'd like to see that come with the TMO version versus the plastic "launcher" that others have talked about with the 8700c.

It's similar to the 7100i case, which I really liked a lot. Sleeve cases are quite nice, and the stretchy material on the 7100i case handled an extended battery quite snugly.

I got this with my 8700g. Overall its good apart from the belt clip part. Its sooooo tight and really hard to put on and take off your belt.

now that's ghetto! haha.

Hey it works great, and I really dont care what oithers see as long as it meets my needs. I refuse to pay 40 and 50 bucks for cases.

Yes, I agree. I wonder if the pressure to get it on an of will the the source of its failure eventually :-|

Got conformation from RIM these are discontinued and T-Mobile UK devices will get the basic plastic holder in future.

So... has anyone got/used one of these basic plastic cases?

Do they ultimately cause scuff marks on the 8700 where it rubs (removing paint/colouring). That happened with my 7290. Not Good.

Well the plastic holsters are not the kindest to your Blackberry - From what I understand the holster for the C doesn't work right on the G... not surprised to seee an error on that site.
