Greetings all.......just moved to the Philippines and I brought along a couple of 7280's and a 7230. I thought that the 7280's were already unlocked but Iwas wrong, they will not recognize my Globe SIM card.

I went around to a few malls and checked with some of the cell phone store to see about getting them unlocked but no luck.

Does anyone know where I can get them unlocked in the Ayala Alabang area?? How about Metro Manila??

I do have an unlocked RAZR that i am getting by with but would love to get one of the BB's working here.

A search would have led you to the conclusion that the only way to do so for your case would be www.bongowireless.com.

I am sure someone here has the software/equip to accomplish what I need and someone may be able to point me in the right direction.

While it's possible someone in the Phillipines may be able to unlock the BB (if you do find such a place, great, let us all know), it's unlikely. Bongowireless is pretty much your only option (how do I know? do a search for "unlocking"). Go to the website and check it out.

If you can find someone who "has the software/equip" to unlock your BB, then you are going to be the first.

I have no association with Bongo Wireless or any other unlocker.

This is not a Nokia phone. It is fairly difficult to get it unlocked.
