I just installed sharkmodem on my 8700 and Dell laptop. I connected the 8700 the sharkproxy is seeing the device, but it shows no USB connection. When I look at the settings on the sharproxy the staus is sharkmodem not running on the handheld. If anyone has seen or corrected this error please provide the solution.

Do you have the program running on the BB? Need it on both the BB and the laptop. Also see the proxy settings needed for the laptop.

SM running on 8700, BB and also blackberry desktop manager. I have the icon on the 8700 there is no way to activate or deactivate the program.

Did you follow the steps in the manual that is extracted with the program? You need desktop manager running at the same time.

yes i did, I have been in email support with sharkmodem. I thought that there might have been someone here that had the same issue. So far nothing has helped.
