There is a difference between towers going down or devices going bad and technical incompetence. If it were happening to one group of people in a geographically isolated location, that would be a tower going down. This happens to people all over the country with new and old devices alike. That is a fundamental problem with the system. Again I admit that they are not required to make compensation, but I reiterate that I feel that they should simply as a matter of good business. If not they run the risk of people getting new carriers as you so eloquently suggested. I will point out that I personally do not have the problem and am not crying about anything. I was simply engaging in a discussion about business practices. Thank you for wishing me a better day, but from your tone I suspect you could use it more than myself.

Lets try being a realist and let us not cry over our gadgets not working.after all, arent we all adults?
We arent talking about car breaking down, we are talking about a company who is a SERVICE provider, they failed to provide the service, they get paid to provide. Tell them this when you fail to pay your bill, " Don't cry over me not paying, they are just gadgets- ..."

"the "man" putt it to ya.
The "man" can give some back.
Just my humble opinion.

true..i have never asked cingular for a credit, but i am sure its something to try if you want some money back for your service being out of wack...

45 bucks a month for BB unlim from cingular.... thats 1.50 a day in a 30 day month..... i dont think they have a problem issuing a credit for 3 or 4 bucks...give it a try and post up if it worked..cheers

I think the proper analogy is your digital cable going out. I've had this problem and Time Warner has prorated my bill for the time lost. I think it's just a matter of taking the time to call and endure the wait times and beauracratic garbage it takes to get anything done. Compare this to the value of any prorated discount and you can see why they get away with it so easily.

had to get on the horn with cingular to straighten it out...tech gal said that yesterday they were having problems with connections and somehow mine was changed to basic media coverage, (which doesn't make sense because even basic wasn't working). I explained I have had from day one unlimited data, she fixed it back she said. I now can bb message and do the emails, but browser hanging up not going thru, she said give it a day, cingular having problems...so we will see....now how the hey did that happen????

to be continued....

Two days ago in Jersey City, Cingular would not give me an EDGE connection. I could only pull an edge connection. I turned off the wireless antenna for five minutes. Turned it back on and EDGE loaded up and I was back to doing data. I guess that kind of stuttering between edge and EDGE happens rather often.
