Default 7250 synchronization with Outlook 2003

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,

I'm brand-spanking new at this!

Our office does not have Blackberry Enterprise Server or Microsoft Exchange Server. I downloaded Desktop Redirector. So, when I set up Desktop Manager, I selected the "Enterprise Server or Redirector" option instead of the "Blackberry Internet Service" option.

I set "Configure Reconciliation" to "Synchronize moves and deletes" with the "Device wins" option.

I had deleted some emails from the handheld (selecting "On Mailbox & Handheld") and I had also sent some emails from the handheld. Then I synchronized/reconciled messages on the Desktop Manager. However, the deleted emails on my handheld did not get deleted from my Outlook Inbox (Personal Folder) and more importantly, the sent messages did not show up in my Sent Folder in Outlook.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you,
Joe

I found that it was much easier to not use the desktop re-director.
I dont think that the desktop redirector does anything but re-direct the mail. And, you have to keep your PC running all the time.

I use a program called Mail Redirect to redirect our work email to our Blackberry devices. We intalled the software on a stand-alone PC. The users then get their mail almost immediately.

Each user has the Desktop software installed for the BIS version, and it syncs contacts, etc.

I use Google Mail for a filter for all of my mail. I forward mail from my home, work accounts to Gmail, and it forwards to the Blackberry. Best Spam filter I have used.

As far as syncing the mail messages when connected, that doesnt work with Blackberry devices.

Thanks for the advice!

So, I was under the impression that when I send an email from my Blackberry, I can synch it with my Outlook later and my Sent Folder gets updated. And now you're telling me that it doesn't work this way! I'm very disappointed.
