| So you have a 7100t on Cingular? Anyway I had this problem and so have others on this forum if you do a search. Don't know if anyone has ever found an answer but here are some things to try. I think that the problem is related to the use of speaker phone.
* Shut down the phone, remove the battery, wait, reinsert batter and wait for the reboot. Check to see if the noise is gone.
* Make a phone call in normal mode, switch to speaker phone, then back to normal mode and cancel the call.
* Upgrade the software. If you really have a Cingular 7100g then download the latest software from Cingular. If instead you have a T-Mobile 7100t then go to the T-Mobile site. Or just go to the RIM Software subforum and upgrade to HK CSL and get the latest and greatest.
