Question Email slow after switching to 7130e Verizon from 7100T Tmboile

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I recently switched to Verizon 7130e after using the Tmobile 7100T.
I noticed that receiving BES emails on 7130e takes about 10-15 minutes, whereas I received emails on my 7100T faster than my Outlook.

Is Verizon slower at pushing emails than Tmobile?

I use BIS and POP my email off of exchange and get them in less than 10 minutes. I'm on Verizon.

Average of 10 minutes to receive email to me is unacceptable.
Tmobile took less than a minute. On the phone with Verizon and RIM, will update finding.

BES email delivery should be nearly-instantaneous. Check with VZW and with your BES administrator to see where the problem lies.

Not sure what's going on with your phone / service, but I get emails via pop3 delivered to my phone pretty much immediately. I can send an email from my PC and I get it on my phone in about 25 - 30 seconds. I even just tested it while I was typing this. BES... might be a different story, but forwarding them to your vzw email account might be the way to go.

Thanks for your suggestion; I think this is my company's BES issue.

Your email should be instant from the BES, as for BIS it's been said that the new BIS will "learn" that if you are having an email conversation thru POP mail it will poll your POP server at a much faster rate (as fast as every 3 minutes) until the BIS no longer sees the same traffic then will go back to polling the POP mail accounts every 15 minutes or so...
