I did a massive search on moving your Address Book from a BB to a SIM card and came up with many discussions threads. However, none of them offered any way to do a massive copy (copy all) option to the SIM card.

I have a user that came to me and said that having a 7105T BB device is a waste of money because they dont use the email/calendar functions so a cell phone would be a better fit for them. Although I may not understand why you wouldnt want this...I can appreciate their honesty.

Now this user has 237 Contacts in their address book - are you telling me I have to go through 237 contacts and copy each one to the SIM card - ONE BY ONE?

How do we go about copying them to the sim card one by one?

I have to do the same thing.

Go to each address that has a number (email contacts wont copy to SIM). Scroll down to the contact's phone number, and select COPY TO SIM (its the top option), then click again to SAVE.

If you now go look at your SIM ADDRESS BOOK - you will see the Contact and the number you just saved.

Just a thought, if the afore mentioned cell phone can get contact information from Outlook, just sync the BlackBerry with Outlook and then download the contacts from there onto the phone...

Remember too that you can only copy 1 phone number per contact. You can't copy info like addresses or email. Plus the sim card has very limited capacity. The newer ones I think are 64 but if you have an older one it might only be 32. It's a fairly useless feature!

64 and 32 have nothing to do with the capacity of the sim. every sim i have ever used could hold 250. but it does only hold the name and one number.
