Default Using Green Send key for SMS and Email sending

Please Login to Remove!

Hey, I have searched and didn't find anything on this topic. Does anyone know of a program that will make it so when you are inside a email or sms you can use the green send key to send the message instead of clicking the trackweel and then the send button? Thanks

No idea but it would be nice if it could be. I dont know why RIM didn't think of something like that. Right now when you are inside a SMS message and click the green send button nothing happens.

I agree, that is quite a cool idea now that you mentioned it.

I recall a post suggesting that wasn't possible. But if you you use bbSpell after the last correction it ends up on the menu item of send, and you just hit enter.

If you did this then you would loose the ability to press the phone button from almost any screen to go immediatly to the phone app to make a call, and the press and hold to go immediatly and then search by letter capability.

Which would rather have.

I wish there was a program that allowed you to map the phone buttons for something else since I don't have a voice plan and don't use the phone. That would be really nice.

I only want it to work inside an email or sms when the green button doesnt work for anything. when you are in an SMS and hit the green send button it does nothing so what would it hurt?

Funny, when I'm typing an email or sms and press the green phone button. It takes me directly to the same place the it does any where else and just like selecting Call Log from the home page. BTW I'm using 8700/4.1.0.286 and it did the same with .194.

What version are you using? I wonder if it is theme sensitive.?

Hope this helps.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

It might be based on the theme, I have the .194 I think. Its whatever cingular has out now.

Now if I hit and hold the button it does take me to the dial screen.
