Default This is what happens when you order from Venicom/UShopWireless

Please Login to Remove!

For those of you interested in ordering form Venicom/UShopWireless here's the breakdown.

Went online and ordered the Beautiful 8700 today at 9:21 est. $199.99 upfront -$100 rebate + $29.99 "next day shipping".

I called them around 2:00 pm because I did not receive any type of confirmation. The rep said that they received my application but they would not process it until the afternoon, at which time I would receive an e-mail.

No word, so at 5:00 pm est I called and left a voicemail whining about customer service and $30 next day phantom shipping.

2 1/2 hours later, 7:30 pm est i was crying in my won-ton at my local favorite chinese restaraunt, I felt a buzz on my trusty 7290 it was Venicom.
After a bunch of crap I scrolled over that I thought was excuses on why my darling 8700 would be late...there it was...

My new cell number
My new pin number
My new IMEI number

Along with a link to Fed Ex for my tracking number. This was the biggest test for Venicom of all. I knew that it wasn't going to land until Monday. I wasn't sure how i was going to stand it all weekend, but I would survive.

Low and behold i am to expect a package by 3:00 pm est Friday April 14th!!!!

I apoligize to Venicom/UShopWireless they are on Mountain Standard Time.

I will add to this post tomorrow to brag and let everyone know that my little bundle of joy arrived safely.

Default My Venicom Experience

I had a great experience with them. I received my 8700g today without a hitch. I called their customer service twice on Wednesday to ask some questions and both people that answered the phone were very polite and professional. I was skeptical of them at first but I have to say I am very impressed and overly satified with my purchase.

Default Venicom Experience

I also had a great experience. I pre-ordered my bb8700 from Venicom on 03/29/06 and received it this morning since they received the phone yesterday. They were the only ones offering it online for the longest time.

Mine just arrived from Venicom- The Mrs. signed for it, and I'll fire it up tonight when I get home.

How long does it take to charge?

Mine just arrived from Venicom (ushopwireless) as well. The phone is gorgeous.

I immediately noticed the contract became 24 months, even through I asked for 12 months when pre-ordered in March. One year contract was the major reason why I didn't go with Cingular and decided to wait for T-mobile.

I'm now working to get this resolved with Venicom. I'll keep everyone posted on the progress.

jerd: I'm charging the phone for the first time using the AC adapter - it seems close to full just under an hour.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I am happy to report that I am sending this from my brand new 8700.

Delivery went off without a hitch and as we've all read in this thread Venicom/UShopWireless came through

Final price was $230 next day shipping with a $100 mail-in rebate. You have to wait 120 days before you can send it in though. Not real happy about that because they create more room for error.

That's not bad at all but frustrating because about the 120 days... We'll see what I choose...

Default 2 year contract with Venicom/Ushopwireless

Just got my 8700 from them today. Surprised to see a 2 year contract agreement - pretty sure that when I ordered, the web site indicated one year. Wondering if anyone else has had this experience. I have contacted Venicom, and am waiting for return call.

It was $50 for a one year agreement. You only have to stay with ushopwireless to get the rebate.

This happened to me (pre-ordered on 3/24). I have been calling Venicom since Friday afternoon, and the whole morning today. I also wrote an email inquiry, and left VMs. No reply from Venicom as of now.

I spoke to Venicom Sales on Friday - apparently on 4/1 the deal changed to an additional $50 for 1-year contract. However, I placed the order on 3/24 and agreed with 1-year contract at the time of purchase. (2-year contract wasn't even an option at that time)

So what is the outcome guys? I am in the same boat - ordered early then the 2 year deal happened.

Please post before I too put in much work for naught.

I ordered my 7100t from them over a year ago and had no problem whatsoever. In fact at the time the phone was $200 with $100 mail-in-rebate, but they only invoiced me $100 so in effect I got it for free. Nice
