i've tried it with multiple simcards now, but everytime i dial out, i get the message "Sorry, only emergency calls are allowed". I've figited with this phone for almost 3 hours non stop and its killing me! anyone have any idea how to fix it?

I think you ment BES server. The BlackBerry in question could have an IT policy on it that restricted out going calls.

do any of you by any chance know the process of removing this IT policy from the BES server? im a new user so you guys gotta talk in simple terms

Let me guess, you purchased this off eBay? Long and shot you can remove an IT Policy without connecting to the BES the BB was previously connected to. That being said use the search feature and search IT Policy if that is the case with your BB and I think someone posted a way to manually remove an IT Policy without BES.
