Default Need Software Help moving from 7290 to 8700

Please Login to Remove!

Hello Everybody,

I'm not trying to rub it in, but I'm receiving my new 8700 today! Now I'm nervous on the switchover.

I started completely new service with the new device. So I am cancelling my old BIS through T-Mobile and I have to re-set everything up on my PC.

Do I need to un-install Blackberry OS completely to get it to recognize my new pin number?

Do I need to un-install Redirector(I hope not)?

Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated,

No,

Connect you previous BB to the Desktop Manager and do a back up which will create an .ipd file after doing so connect you new BB the Desktop Manager will recognizes the PIN device, preform a restore from the .ipd file created and your done. You new BB will mirror the info/settings of the old.

no need to cancel your BIS acnt too

just login, change to the new PIN

should be in Profiles or Options (or if BIS 2.0, it's in the left menu)
