Default Zen message indication bug

Please Login to Remove!

I'm running .286 on T-Mobile UK 8700.

Sometimes, when I unlock my BB the red 'new mail' * over the mail icon isn't present, even though I've recieved a new message. I have both "Show number of unread messages" and "Show application names" off. The icon in the status bar at the top IS there to show a new message, as expected.

Anyone else seen this and/or know under what circumstances it occurs?

I think that I have seen this just once before. A new message arrived and the icon appeared but without the red star. In any event, the red star tends to disappear in a not entirely predictable fashion.
When you consider that the red star is a new benefit only found in Zen, it is not a big deal. Turn "Show number of unread messages" back on and you will always know your status.

I had the red star until I moved applications around... I have asked to "Revert to Defaults" but since it's weekend, I probably won't reseave any e-mail to test it out...

The red star is the symbol of Chinese hegemony in all things economic, military and cultural, and is the reason why we will all be eating our rib steaks with chopsticks in the not far future. Oh sorry, that's a yellow star against a red background.

In the Zen theme, the red star indicates that a new message has been recieved. If you can figure out how to take over the world with it, please share that with the Forum as this seems to be one function that the Zen theme is missing.
