I bought the Ascendo Photo
loaded it, all seemed well
pictures went on fine,

then 10 minutes later it locked up, took out battery, waiting, put back in,
now all I get is JVM eror 102,
reset,
hit the buttom, it seems to statr rebooting, then back to the same screen,

I tried reloading OS, but not sure if I am doing it correctly,
goes through th process, then screen is back to the error.

I tried to wipe it, throug the desk top manager, then it says you might have to put a unlock password, but I can not get to anything in the device,

can anyone help me here,
maybe, I just need a proper walk through,
or am I just out of luck,

Call nextel support it is dead

Do a search for "Reset to Factory Setting on 7100i" it might help.

I have had 2 clients have the same error. if removing the battery does not resolve it the unit is dead. Call Nextel and get an new unit.

no need to get new unit, its just a java error,

at this point my device is totally reloaded, and working, just 1 problem I still have not figured out,
when I get a call, or radio contact,
there name does not come up, just there number??
I reloaded my contacts, there all there with there numbers.

anyone have any idea with this??

as far as your contacts name not coming up but rather their number. I found that popping the battery out and holding down the power button for about 30 secs (with the battery out) helps out.
I did that with a customer of mine and it went back in the call log and replaced the numbers with the name.

I tried the battery out, and hold the power button, 3 times,

no good,
still the same,
contact names will not show,
just there numbers,
phone and DC the same

there is no reset button anywhere

I think I figured it out, the dam SIM card contacts,

how can I delete them

I would either pull the sim card and put it in a nextel phone and reset all defaults to clear the sim card.
Or you can go to the address book in the bb and click on sim phonebook. You can only delete them one by one as far as I can tell. If you don't have the contacts from your sim card on your bb you can add them all at the same time (copy all to address book).
