Default switching from 8700c to 8700g(restoring)

I just got a hold of a new 8700g, and wanna switch all the data from the 8700c to the 8700g. Can I just connect the new 8700g to the usb cable and use the existing software from the 8700c and use the restore feature to transfer all the data onto my new one?

Thanks,
Jon

Default

Just did this myself. Use the selective backup and restore option (third button down in backup/restore) and copy just the PIM files (address book, messages, calendar, etc.) you want of your 8700c. Then plug in and upload them to your 8700g
