I received my 8700g today, with one surprise. The contract that was included indicated a two year service agreement. When I first found the deal on-line (on April 1), the ushopwireless site indicated that it only required a one year agreement. I confirmed this when I ordered from the sales agent. In fact, ushopwireless continued to promote that deal well after April 1.
I called today to find out what happened. The customer service rep indicated that T-Mobile as of April 1 is requiring two year contracts. He gave me the choice of accepting the two year contract or returning the phone. He also mentioned that ushop is receiving dozens of calls from fellow annoyed customers.
I feel that this is an unacceptable response. Wondering how many others out there have had similar experiences, and if you are getting the same response. I would hope ushop/Venicom would make good on their advertised deal.
