Currently I'm a Verizon 7130e user VERY VERY HAPPY with EVDO and my service. My weak side is I REALLY want a GSM (Tmobile 8700g) Blackberry since they are still Quad Band and just to have a GSM 8700 device for when I do leave the country. Tethering doesn't really matter as I'm an Apple user (but hopefully soon with an intel so I can dual boot and tether!). My plan is to just tell verizon I broke my BB and downgrade my phone and plan to a e815 and use this new 8700 tmobile if I get it. I figured it out and I'll basically be paying the same for service with 2 devices as I am for 1!! For some reason I just can't take the plunge. Help a brother out

I made the switch from Verizon to Cingular.

The reason I left? Roaming data coverage. Verizon has filled a few of the holes since I left but, it's nice knowing that with a GSM carrier you will (typically) have data coverage even when not on a native tower.

Same thing here but I didn't switch companies, only phones. In my case it involved a cruise to Mexico (couldn't take my 7730 with me). I barely got signal on that thing outside my house, let alone travelling with it. Since switching to the 7100 series phones, I've had only minimal problems but I did have to return one 7100t because it just dropped signal and never regained it along with other problems. But my others have been working wonderfully.

Ok tomorrow when I get home from taking care of this family business I'm on, I'm taking the dive and going to use Us Shop Wireless and take advantage of their deal, I just can't stand it anymore... The constant "well I can take it abroad" and "The world uses gsm" and all the rest of the thoughts it just to much to take... I'm sure I'll miss EVDO but I'm sure I can deal...

It's on it's way from US wireless in Arizona!! should be here tomorrow or friday!!
