Default I now have 5 seperate mailbox icons on my 8700c unlocked.

Please Login to Remove!

I now have a mailbox for each account I have on BIS tmobile. I upgraded to 4.1.0.286.

Anyone using this version? Any feedback. It seems a little faster.

Ditto for Rogers. The problem is, with their Canadian monopoly, I think us Canucks could be waiting a long time....

Weird. I too have an 8700c on T-Mobile, but I still only have 1 mailbox. I'd love to have separate ones for my 3 accounts. :(

it is so frustrating. I was chatting with someone last night. I had no clue that there was an upgrade allowing that. Cingular needs to get with it before I get so frustrated and just move on to t-mobile.

yes, I have individual inbox for each email account and it it is good to have that way,..,
You will get this separate boxes once you upgrade your MailConnecctor or BIS.
Shame on Cingular.. they are too blind and deaf to listen to customers.

T-Mobile has the latest BIS, and I don't have multiple boxes. Maybe I'll try reregistering, pulling battery, changing themes, etc.

Default Maybe I am missing something

OK, I have read all this but I for one am not sure I would be too happy checking my 7 different email accounts via each having a separate icon. I kinda like having them all in one place. Now, if you all think this is peachy, then by all means it should be available, but will it obviate our current solution? 'Cause if it does then I am not in favor of it.

I purchased my 8700 from my local T-Mobile store yesterday, and last night after work I set up my e-mail accounts. All I did was go into BIS add my Exchange e-mail settings, add my yahoo e-mail settings, and viola, everything is set up and works flawlessly. I have three inboxes on my main screen, one for my tmo.blackberry.net, one for yahoo, and one for my corporate e-mail. When I respond to the e-mail's on my blackberry, the responses and filed in real time for the most part and everything is archived correctly. I couldn't ask for a better, more flawless set up that this. My first Blackberry experience has definitly been amazing.

It took a service book resend to get separate boxes.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your 8700. I've been in love with mine since the day I got it in January.

Your main Inbox still aggregates all of your email. You can simply hide the other inboxes, as I have done, and use it just as before. The 8700g manual documents the multiple inboxes and instructs you to hide them if you wish to just use the main one.

No one really knows. But from what I understand the key term about the cingular upgrade is "Soon". Ha. I hate that word ;)

Your problem is the tmo.blackberry.net address is also your "main mailbox". All mail goes to the main box including yoru BB address and your PIN address, and now your gmail. I don't think there is really anything you can do except make a yahoo account and forward your work e-mail there and then they will both be completely seperated.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

If you don't like the extra mail box, just hide it and use the orginal mailbox like before.

I just received my 8700g yesterday and backed up my info from my 7100t, after restoring it on the 8700 I noticed the seperate email accounts also. The problem that I am having is now I do not have a web browser icon and can't seem to find it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed or fix the problem I am having?

Thanks

the browser is definately there, i had this same problem, all i did was played around with the device and found it.

Most likely it is inside a sub-menu, just hunt for it...if you still cant find it... go to your options/settings and you can see which applications are "hidden" there...

out of the box the browser app was not hidden for me however
