Default How to separate messages on 7130e

Please Login to Remove!

My company email, text messages and missed calls all show up under the 'messages' icon. Is there any way to separate them or redirect just my email to another location (or folder)?

Here are some instructions I did for a user at work. It is Lotus Notes specific, but the same idea will work with Exchange, GroupWise, or BIS accounts.

How to create a custom search on your BlackBerry

Lotus Notes Inbox Only - BES Only
1) Open Messages, press scroll wheel, select Search.
2) Change Folder option. Browse to, and select, your Lotus Notes Inbox.
3) Press scroll wheel, Save
4) Enter a Title. Example: Lotus Notes Inbox.
5) Assign letter to the Shortcut Key (I used L for this example). Only unused letters will be available from the scroll menu.
6) Save. You will be taken to the search results after a second or two.
7) Press escape key to return to Messages.
8) Press ALT-L to execute search in the future.

Gmail Messages Only - BIS or BES
1) Open Messages, press scroll wheel, select Search.
2) Type your email address (include @gmail.com) in Name field.
3) Change the following fields to the values in RED.
In --> To: Field.
Folder --> All Folders.
Show --> Received Only
Type --> Email
4) Press scroll wheel, Save
5) Enter a title. Example: Gmail Messages.
6) Assign letter to the Shortcut Key (I used G for this example). Only unused letters will be available from the scroll menu.
7) Save. You will be taken to the search results after a second or two.
8) Press escape key to return to Messages.
9) Press ALT-G to execute search in the future.

Modify an Existing Search

1. Open Messages, press scroll wheel, select Search.
2. Press scroll wheel, select Recall.
3. Highlight your search, press scroll wheel, select Edit Search.
