Default Muting Key Tone (Yes, I searched...)

Please Login to Remove!

I'm trying to mute the keytone on my new 8700g so that when I type in a phone number it's silent....but I can't figure it out.

I searched the threads and found a suggestion to do the following -
options--> screen/keyboard-->keytone 'off'. This doesn't work. It's set to 'off' but I still hear tones when I type numbers in.

Any tips?

Thanks!

I don't believe there is an option to mute the keytones when dialing. The keytone off option you describe mutes the keytones when doing general BB funtions like e-mailing, typing, etc.

If you have an ear bud connected, the key tone will not be heard.
