Default Best Deal for 8700g with tmobile?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm about to get my first Blackberry and have read through the posts of the last week or so about the new 8700g trying to absorb as much information as I can.

I'll be getting new voice and data and so far the best deal I've seen is Ushopwireless special mentioned by others on this board:

$99 8700g 2 year plan (after $100 rebate)
$149 1 year plan (after rebate.)

That's quite a bit less than on the tmobile site and the voice and data plans seem to be about the same as far as I can tell.

Has anyone found a better deal than this for new service voice and data?

Thanks, R

I think the discounts on the upgrades at TMO depends on a number of factors which includes: how much one spends a month on TMO, the number of months left on contract, the length of time since one jointed TMO, time since last upgrade. I called them several times and the best deal I have received was $249 on a two years extension - sadly. But heck, I already have a 8700g from other sources so it didn't really matter so much.

Yes it really seems to get confusing for upgrades.

Since I'm getting new service the decision seems a little less complicated.

I got mine for $299 w/o a contract, keeping me at month-to-month status.

I get to keep my current preferred rate plan of $60/month for 1000 nationwide minutes + nights & weekends + unlimited BlackBerry.

tfaz1 - how'd you get it for $299? TMO retail monkeys from two locations have quoted me $479 w/o a contract!

I have been with T-Mo for years and have a 3 line family plan with add on's for text and BB. My monthly bill is over $200 and it has been a while since my last phone upgrade. I got the 8700 for $179. It does appear that T-Mo uses several factors in deciding the price as they first quoted me $229 but then said I could get a better deal since it had been a while since my last upgrade.

This is why I waited a bit before ordering mine. You can get it for $99 after rebates on Amazon now. They only require a 1 year contract unlike 2 years at most the other places offering the phone for $99 after rebates.

I tried to post the URL, but I'm not allowed to yet. But it's up there

Question on that deal what is the monthly cost and what do you get for it. I am interested in finding the entire layout per month for voive and unlimited service. I see a deal for $59 for a 1000 minute but does that also include the unlimited service as well. I mean as much as I hate the size of the 8700 and the fact that i am on verison now i am looking at this deal. My question is this can you get lower miutes for a lesser amount and still include unlimited? Thanks for any info any of you can provide on this.
