Default BIS 2.0 - is it me...

Or does BIS 2.0 "15 minute poll" defeat the purpose of having a Blackberry. My main attracation to the BB was the push technology and receiving email instantly.

2.0 seems like a real bummer.

You could always forward your email account to your BB account which will deliver the message(s) instantaneously.

the only limit by forwarding is that you can only reply from 1 address either your @carrier.blackberry.net email or one of the accounts set up to forward of your choice IE @gmail.com... by having it poll you have access to reply from any of up to 10

Where are the forwarded messages stored? Suppose I recieve a bunch of messages with large attachments. How does the BB handle this.

According to the BIS 2.0 documentation a 5 MB limit per email message.

BIS 2.0 didn't change anything regarding polling functionality. BIS 1.8 also did a 15 minute poll for accounts that were configured. T-mobile customers with Yahoo email accounts receive real time messages because of RIM's partnership with Yahoo.

The one of the only drawbacks is there is no Inbox on BIS 2.0 that can be managed via the web.
