I was sitting at my desk when my phone made a beep that i never heard before. Took it out of the holster and it said "data connection refused". I never had that before so i restarted it and it came back up but only went as high as the "edge" network. Then about 20 mins later it did it again. What gives? anybody else had this problem.

Seemed to have corrected itself within a few minutes after I noticed the "Data Connection Refused" message.

I'm guessing you're on Cingular's network

I've gotten that a few times and it doesn't last long. It's not your BlackBerry that's the issue it's probably an error w/ your carrier or somewhere in RIM's network I assume.

When it happened to me I called BlackBerry data support and they told me they're aware of the issue and things will resume shortly and that my BlackBerry was fine it was on their end of things.

i had the same problem tonite too...if you go options, advanced options, host routing table..then click scrolwheel and hit register now, all should be back to normal....

Generally a carrier issue.
