Default Navigation from 7520 to 7100i

Ok I must say this is an awesome device... I am only unable to figure out how to do two things....

First how do you move up to the next message while in an open message, also is there a way to go directly to the newest incoming message or newest date?

Second is there the ability to use shortcuts on the main menu to open message, calendar, calculator, etc. like with the 7520 I had "Dial from Home Screen Off" and pressing "m" would take you to message, "c" would take you to compose, and "l" would take you to calendar...

Thanks in advance...

Great timing

Just ordered my own 7100i and my most major concern is theoretically losing the QWERTY KB ... Does this impair the typing skills at all?

Seems the device went backwards and im wondering if i will regret this move and want my 7520 back again ..

Thanks in advance..

I had no problem with the slight learning curve... The phone is much faster and display is wonderful... I acutally like it better, just trying to adjust from the shortcuts of the 7520 to the 7100i... It seemed easier to navigate as far as shorcuts go with the 7520, but all in all the 7100i is so far a much better phone...

I too switched from the 7520 to the 7100i. Here are some quick tips for navigating around in the messages app:

Jump to top of list: ER button
Jump to bottom of list: CV button
Page down list of messages: M button
Page up list of messages: UI button
Jump down date by date: DF button
Jump up date by date: JK button
Reply: QW button
Reply All: AS button
Forward: OP button
Compose: L button

For the phone, the OP key will toggle the speakerphone on/off.

Don't laugh but I went from a 7100i to a 7520. Yes the 7100i had a better display but the 7520 gets better reception, is built alot better and I like the shortcuts you were talking about. I also like something just about everyone else complained about. The PTT button on the top. I can easily use it with either hand and I'm not accidently pushing the escape button every time I use the PTT like I did with the 7100i. I still have my 7100i but I'm already loving the 7520.
