| 7105t tmobile -- use modem to send SMS Please Login to Remove! I'm trying to use the modem on a 7105t to send SMS messages, eventually from a custom application, but for now trying to do it with HyperTerminal (Win XP Pro, SP2).
I've seen the threads about using the modem to connect to the internet for your laptop, but that's not quite what I'm doing. I've also seen links describing the commands that I "should" be able to use to send SMS messages, but it's not working. Here's an example:
-------------------------
4. Sending SMS using AT commands
AT+CMGF=1 To format SMS as a TEXT message
AT+CSCA="+xxxxx" Set your SMS center's number. Check with your provider.
To send a SMS, the AT command to use is AT+CMGS ..
AT+CMGS="+yyyyy" <Enter>
> Your SMS text message here <Ctrl-Z>
The "+yyyyy" is your receipent's mobile number. Next, we will look at receiving SMS via AT commands.
-------------------------
When I try to send the AT+CMGS="phone#"<CR>, I do NOT get a prompt for the actual message...my modem just keeps returning "OK".
Anyone else doing this? If so, do you have any suggestions?
Thanks for any help. |
