Default 8700G ZEN loaded successfully BUT...

Please Login to Remove!

I followed the detailed directions on this Forum and successfully loaded all the new themes on my phone lastnight.. (Zen, Orange, O2, Vodaphone, etc) Like them all..

BUT On the Zen Theme (Icon) is there a way to alter the SET icons that appear on the right hand side of the home screen? Some of the phone appearing I want to HIDE or MOVE and bring in different ones?

Thanks in advance!

A search would have given you this as it has been asked many, many times, so in the future search first.

Here is how:
options-home screen--organize applications-click trackwheel and select"move application"
The top five application icons are the ones that go one the home screen.

Good luck.

1. the ZEN are on the right hand side. Do you mean the left?
2. do you mean that ou want t o select icons you want to appear at the top of the list and hide the ones you dont want? I'm not sure about that.

I understood the poster to mean they want to move the order of the icons. Those are the directions I provided, I may have read it wrong. Although I don't know how I could have read that post wrong.

Wirelessly posted (8700c: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

You can hide all the icons by placing black electrical tape over the right side of the screen ( or left if you are holding the BB upside down).

I have the same question and I used search and found the same instructions as you posted, however I do not have the "Home Screen" choice in the options.

Before we get ahead of ourselves--do you have an 8700? Are you running the Zen theme?
That is what this thread is about. Let us know if you are or not before we move ahead.

Yes to both questions.
I have a Tmobile 8700g, installed the new Zen theme (following the instructions here), activated it, and for the life of me I cannot find the Home Screen configuration. The options I asume is the "wrench" menu, the same place where you can select the theme and where you can see the "about" information for the device?

If you are in the Zen theme the options is a wrench if on the main page and will actually say "options" with the wrench if it is not a top five icon.

When you click on options you should see a list:
about
advanced options
auto on/ off
auot text
bluetooth
date/time
HOME SCREEN
language
Network
owner
screen keyboard
security options
sms
theme

What are you seeing?

Mine is not in the top 5, so I see Options with a wrench icon in the application list (clicking the bottom, 6th, icon in the zen theme). There I see the following:

About
Advanced Options
Auto On.Off
AutoText
Bluetooth
Date/Time
Language
MMS
Network
Owner
Ramble IM
Screen/Keyboard
Security Options
SMS
Status
Theme

Try looking for Organize Applications under either Screen/Keyboard or Advanced Options. The newer versions of ZEN got rid od the Home Screen Options.

Hope this helps.

I just looked in the help on the BB and it says that if the theme uses a program list, you can organize it by going to option-> home screen etc.

I guess this is a sign that the theme is hidden for a reason. Its pretty much unusable without this option.

Harumph...FYI..FYI? thanks I needed that information smart guy.

Bye the way: it is ALWAYS easier to ask a question than search. Getting your answers may not happen though. There are many members of this forum who don't even give a question like this a second look because you should have searched.
At least I took the time to:
1. tell you to search in the future because I know this is a question you could have easily found an answer to with a tiny bit of work by you.
2. answer your question anyway.

pacemkr, I don't know what to tell you- this is out of my league, I just know the easy stuff.

Hopefully some of the more knowledgeable members will chime in.
