Unhappy 8700g Calendar Problem

Please Login to Remove!

I use the agenda view, but when I scroll through, after about 10 days, there is a big jump in dates. For example, today I scroll down and after May 11 comes June 25. If I start at a different date, the same thing will happen after about 10 days. Please help!!!

I may be stating the obvious, but the agenda view skips days that don't have any appointments on them.

About the agenda view, is there a way to make it so that the agenda starts with the current event at the top, rather than the bottom? I'm more interested in what's coming up, not what has passed.

It's supposed to work the way you want. It's a bug.

Unhappy

My agenda view is doing the same thing. It will jump from May 8 to December 22. There is no way it should be doing this as I have things scheduled for every day for the next 2 months. It has to be a software bug. I have to force the calendar to jump to May 9 by using "go to date" to see its schedule in agenda view. Then I can scroll forward a couple of days and again it will jump to December. It is REALLY annoying as I perfer the Agenda view.

Good to know. I think there are some things about the Telstra update that I didn't like, but I will double-check the thread to see if I can live with them because the agenda bug is bugging the shitake mushrooms out of me.

It's the latest version of the 8700 handheld software. Telstra is a carrier in Australia that has published the version for use on it's handhelds, but some enterprising peoples on this forum have created instructions on how to download it and install it on your device while retaining your carriers specific items (like themes, settings, etc.).

Details about it can be found at the below URL

Default Scrolling errors in Agenda View in 4.1

I too have this issue with my 8700g and T-Mobile in the US. When I scroll down in the Agenda View, after a few days it jumps forward by a couple of months. There are plenty of other entries in between that it just chooses to not display - in fact I even got it to show me June 26th on one line then August 12th on the next today! I did speak to the tech support people at RIM last week and we cleared the calendar database, reloaded 4.1 and then resynched but it still happens. He then said that they were aware of this problem and that it would be addressed in a fix at some point. Nevertheless it is frustrating nto to be able to scroll properly in Agenda View. This is the only glitch I have encountered in any RIM software in the past 3 years as a user of their products.

This problem has been going on since 4.1 upgrade. I do IT for a company with a BES and a user had a blackberry that wasnt synching contacts correctly so we upgraded from 4.0 to 4.1 and we got the orig problem fixed. But it gained a new problem, with the agenda date skipping, where it skips like 15 days, then at that point you can scroll backwards and get the skipped days to show up.

I switched the user to default to day view instead of Agenda until RIM fixes the problem... its been several months now.
