Question End of call tone - option?

Please Login to Remove!

I used to be a 7100t user and loved how when a call ended, the phone would beep to let you know that the call was done (useful if you want to say choice words about the party you were speaking to after ending a conversation). I then gave the T-Mobile MDA a chance for email and phone and it just did not suit me - one being because it lacked the end of call beep.

So now I'm on my lovely 8700g (4.1.0.286). I can't say anything bad about it except for the lacking of the end of call tone.

I searched the menus and couldn't even find a drop call tone (something Samsungs had if memory serves).

Do other 8700's act the same way, or could it just be my phone? I'm guessing if all do it, it was a feature change based on customer feedback.

Thank you all for your input!

I'm curious if anyone is seeing the same thing as me, or if it is just my phone.

Thanks.

FWIW, I'd love to have an "end call" tone, as well. Granted, I DO have one if I use my BT headset, but I don't always have it with me.

I have a 7290 and the "tone" occurs when I am using a headset (wired) or when I am using the phone by itself.

Right...as did I. However, it's apparently something missing from the 8700 series.

If I press the end key, I always get a tone which is sometimes way too loud when the speaker is too close to my ear or it is on speaker phone.

We want the tone if the other person ends the call so we don't say something inappropriate. If we get the tone when we hit the end button, then we already know that we've ended the call.

The lack of "call drop tone" is ennoying. I come from Motorola's to BB Pearl and feel great incomfort without the" tone".

I keep digging in the field , so I will keep you posted,...then keep me linked
