Default Oh Great and Powerful Jibi...

Jibi,

Saw your hybrid suggestion in the Telstra thread, and am wondering...

Could you recommend a "hybrid" installation/walkthrough that would only revert the desktop CMIME or attachment viewer?

I'm an 8700c on Cingular (BES and BIS), and since the Bharti and Telstra upgrades, can't view attachments on my BES account (as recounted in another thread).

I love all the other things about the upgrade, but this part is a little frustrating.

Thoughts? You're excellent at laying out exact instructions, and while I don't have a problem being a guinea pig in the execution, I can't imagine trying to figure out the steps on my own.

Thanks in advance!

There are a couple different things you could do... If you want just the theme, the latest TMO package actually has Zen (amongst others), all you need to do is edit blackberry.xml, search for zen, or whatever theme you want and remove the vendor code.

Another way to load themes is to use jl_cmdr. Quite possibly the best program ever made for a bb user.

If however you're looking at the volume 'bug' fix, then I think there isn't a hybrid solution.

So far, all the upgrades, including volume bug, bluetooth, themes, etc, are great. And good enough to live without the attachment issue (I can always forward to a BIS acct and view them just fine).

I figured that if Jibi didn't have an answer, there were none to be found.
