How much wider does it make the phone? What hind of holster are you using - does the new door interfere?

Is this something generally available to the world or is it pre-release? I've taken a look at the BB site and didn't see it listed yet.

You can order it directly from Verizon, it's not listed on their site and apparently is not advertised from what I have seen. If you call VZW customer service and provide them the part number for the ext battery, they will ship it out to ya for 59.99 + tax/shipping. Unless you can get it cheaper from your business rep, that would be the way in getting it.

Mine arrived this morning and it's charging up now, via the USB cable. It's kinda slow to charge, but that's no doubt because it's a bigger capacity. It does add a little weight to the handheld, but it's not bad at all. In fact, it makes it feel more sturdy in my hand.

USB charges slower because of the limitation in voltage. If you charge via the travel charger it charges much faster, from my understanding...

You're right. I don't frequently even plug my BB into the computer, though. So it was kinda hard to tell.

Is the bottom of the 7130e the same thickness as the original battery or is it thicker? My question stems from whether a 7130e with the extended battery will fit in my seidio holster.

I called Verizon and they transferred me to their accessory department.

They said the battery is not in stock.

I bought them all and have them stored in my closet...are you extended battery worthy? ;)

I'm really not surprised given VZW didnt list it on their web site as an accssory and the way we found out was through a user here which ordered through their business rep and supplied us the VZW part no.

I in no way a representative of VZW, just a consumer.

Try calling Verizon again and ask to speak to Telesales. Don't let them send you to Accessories. I ordered mine Monday afternoon and it arrived yesterday.

You must have. I called again and talked to telesales and they say they have none in stock too. They can reference it to the part number so at least it is in their system.

As to your closet--I know where you live.

Actually the voltage is the same, 5.0.

The amperage is different - 500 mAh for the travel charger, 750mAh for the external charger http://smartphonedepot.com/shop/prod...cat=282&page=1

A USB port on a computer can vary so there is no blanket answer.
