Default Web access via Blackberry Internet Service in UK

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, hoping someone can help me with this.

I have a BB 7100 here in UK, using the Blackberry Internet Service (not Enterprise).

I am able to receive my email data traffic via the BIS gateway fine, but when I access the web either with the browser or when applications make https/internet requests they go through the network WAP gateway (i.e. directly through network, not through BIS) and I am charged separately.

Is the UK Blackberry Internet Service able to move internet data traffic as well as emails? Can any UK network do this or am I stuck with having to use BIS for email and WAP for web/applications internet?

I have used BES in the past and all web/internet access went through the BES gateway as for the emails. I think that in US and other markets (Spain?) the internet data traffic can also go through the BIS?

Thanks

Same question as

BES is different (in any country) as all traffic can be/is tunnelled through the BES to make it more secure.
