Lightbulb Software upgrades for 7105t

Please Login to Remove!

I would like to know if anyone has upgraded their bBerry 7105t to OS 4.1

If so, how is it working for you, can you tell me how to do the same.
If not, are there any updates (perhaps for the ROM, etc) that enhance the functionality of the device. I hate how it doesn't organize messages by separating texts and emails, and for what I understand 4.1 does.

thanks,

Ricky

You can check TMobile's web site for the officially released updates for the 7105t.

well officially TMo has not released 4.1 though I know it has been released elsewhere. I don't want to make any installations to the software until I've decided whether they are worth it or not, and so on. Anyone else has any suggestions, or comments? =)

I've upgraded several 7100s and 7105ts to v4.1 (they use the same code). Obviously T-Mobile has not released v4.1, so I use another carrier. Not sure which one I used (Telstra, Bharti, probably Hong Kong CSL).

All are working flawlessly.

the new OS is bad assed...i love it and without it you cant run the Zen theme which makes you even wonder why you wanted to have to og Tmo themse or any other theme for that matter...the whole point is it is tight...and only released on the eastern front i believe i found the download site but instructions were kinda vague...i figured it out though hit me up if you wanna install it or need help...think it was Hong Kong CSL by the way

Default Updates from a source other than your provider

Ricky:
The previous messages neglected to mention that you will have difficulty installing the 4.1 software from a source other than your provider.
Find the file "vendor.xml" on you computer and delete it. Otherwise your BB desktop manager will not find the 4.1 software.
Perhaps previous answers took for-granted that ALL BB users, including newbies understood this.

The only thing I have noticed is that on my wife's 7100t, when I loaded the newer os with Zen is ran very slow, lots of spinning hour glasses when trying to do much of anything. Otherwise it worked pretty well.
