I'm not computer illiterate but I'm no whiz...

All other devices work perfectly through my USB port.

Any ideas?

1. Right click My Computer

2. Choose Properties

3. Choose the Hardware tab

4. Click the Device Manager button

5. Go down in the list to Universal Serial Bus controllers, and expand by clicking the +

6. Look for RIM Handheld. I am thinking it will have a yellow ! on it

7. Right click and choose Update Driver, and point it to your Blackberry CD which should be in your CD-ROM at this time. This is the most common reason I have seen the handhelds not detected.

DO not use an USB HUB, BBs dont like it. Do not use the USB on the front of the machine for some reason they present problems, plug it directly to the back USB, that should do, I am assuming you have both the desktop manager, and the handheld OS installed in your PC to begin weith.

If you're on a laptop too, remember to turn off power saving on the USB ports.
