Unhappy 7100g that won't start up

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 7100g that was working fine until today when suddenly when restarting it, it just won't start up. It just displays an endless spinning hourglass icon and stops there. I cannot even shut it down unless I pull the battery out.

I have tried leaving it hoping that it will eventually start up but even after an hour, it still will not start up.

Has anyone encountered this problem before? If so, please let me know how you managed to solve it or does anyone know what could be wrong with this unit.

Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem and I had to load a new OS into the unit. After that it was fine. I found all the information on this site and also on blackberryblast good luck!

i have the same problem on a 8700g, but i am unable to load a new OS since the startup proces of the blackberry doenst seem to finish (running for 2 hours now). Even after re-instering the battery the hourglass is all i see.

The BlackBErry device manager doesnt see the device so i cannot re-install the OS. Also tried connecting the BlackBerry without a battery but doenst work. I cannot believe i destroyed it within 2 hours after arrival, there has to be a way.

It happened after the battery drained during a security wipe operation.
