Default Wireless off all of a sudden

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

In the last 8 week of having a 8700g on T-Mobile in the UK the device has spontaneously rebooted on one occasion that I saw, and has just spontaneously turned it's own radio off (Bluetooth headset started beeping & I wondered why!)

Only have CryptMagic as an extra application and that only in the last few days. Dould that should case a radio problem, and the reset happened much earlier.

Anyone else seen such issues?

assuming the battery has enough charge, which can cause them to switch off (bluetooth a battery hog)

I've noticed that sometimes bluetooth can poop out and shut down for no apparent reason.

I don't find Bluetooth on makes a lot of difference to standby battery life. Anyway, battery down to 85% when it happened

My Bluetooth connection/functionality seems rock solid to my Jabra 500. Only issue is muting from the BT500, which causes received voice to becomve very distorted over the Bluetooth connection until I release the mute. Muting via BB mute button works perfectly, even over BT500 connection.

Anyway, it was the main GSM radio that got switched off...

I have an 8700g in the US and I have noticed a few times that the radio has gone off by itself (unless somehow I managed to hit a wrong key, but I doubt it). For example, I had the phone on, put it in my holster and in my pocket and went in to shop, when I came out the radio was off. There is NO BT involved (i.e. don't use a headphone).

I am sort of waiting to see how often this behavior recurs and if any other people on this board have similar experiences before going further.

Of course it COULD be I turned it off in the store and forgot about it....I AM getting pretty old, after all.

Sounds like it may be an obscure bug...

I've seen this on occasion too. Can't explain it. Just happened.
