Default imap question

Please Login to Remove!

I searched the forums but could not find an answer to this question but imap.

I am considering getting the 7130e from Verizon. The question has to do with sync'ing back to the imap server. The bottom line is that I don't want to deal with email messages twice - that would defeat the purpose of getting the BB.

My company has an imap server running on some unix box.

I would like to have the mail on that server pushed to my BB where I can read some messages, delete some messages, and ignore some messages.

When I access my email from my desktop or laptop, I would like to see my inbox in the state that I left it from my BB. In other words, mail that I deleted using my BB does NOT show up in my inbox to be dealt with a second time, mail that I either read or ignored on my BB is still there in my inbox.

Is this possible? If so, I'm going out today to buy one.

You didn't search hard enough as there are numerous posts in the Blackberry Network forum. In any case, you can manage your IMAP account if your carrier is using BIS 2.0

I suggest looking in the other forum for details.

Thank you. I only searched this forum. Based on your response and what I read in the Network forum, I went out and bought one this morning. Works like a champ!
