Default HELP!!!! with 7100t

Please Login to Remove!

I knew my battery was getting low, so I went to get my phone to charge it using the wall outlet. It has a message on the the screen that won't go away or let me charge the phone. The message reads "Catastrophi... Reset"

I've only had the phone for 2 weeks. What's wrong???

You are going to need to wipe out and rebuild the BB.

Locate and download a copy of Javaloader.EXE
Locate and download the latest handheld OS from your carrier. Install the downloaded program.

Connect your BlackBerry and make sure Desktop Manager is shut down.

Open a DOS prompt and type

javaloader -usb wipe (which will completely erase the BB) If you do not have a backup you will loose all the data, but at this stage of the game you dont have a heck of a lot of choice in the matter.

Then restart Desktop Manager. It will detect the BB and reload the OS.

Unhappy Regarding Help with 7100t

The response received from KonTiki was helpful. But, I still can't get my BB to work because during the last phase of the updating process (after clicking and running Desktop Manager) I get the following message:

A fatal error has occurred while updating your device's software. Pleas try again. Device communications error encountered [A:0x0000000E]

I'm so lost and want to get my BB working again. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

Do it all over again aparently something went wrong, one of the things to remember is to be patient it takes almost 30 minutes to do, if you become inpatient and unplug it too soon you will blow it. If that does not do it then you may need to replace the device. But the most obvious rookie mistake is to become inpatient and not letting it do its thing.
