Hey, I am new to the whole blackberry scene. I just ordered one off of ebay because my other phone broke in the dish washer... Go figure.. Anyway, I was reading some of the reviews and one that caught my eye was cnet. They said that during a call the sound sounded hollow and weak. Now, this was while on the tmobile network, which during my tests with them, is a bad network and never really has good reception. My question is this, my blackberry is unlocked and I am going to use it with Cingular, will it sound better?

It will work on Cingular if it's unlocked. As far as the voice quality, just upgrade the firmware to the latest version. Many people have stated the problem with the voice quality but I never had a single person complain about the sound quality and I was using firmware v.4.0 .
