Default Browser/internet on TMO keeps not working

Please Login to Remove!

Searched but couldn't find my issue.

Almost every day or every other day I'll try to use the browser to go to a site and it just sits there at "Requesting" and the little blue bar gradually moves over to the right over the course of several minutes then times out. And it won't go to any sites. I try the blackberry home site, built-in bookmarks, google.com, etc.

Sometimes a battery pull doesn't even fix it. Then I'll get frustrated and move on to something else...try it the next day...and it works.

Any clues? I've tried resending service books but it doesn't seem to help. Are there browser settings I could adjust? Or is it a TMO problem? Or my BB problem.

The whole time, EDGE is showing and emails, SMS, etc, are all working beautifully.

thanks in advance.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry7290/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Irecently switched my 7290 to TMO and my shop is located in a remote part of TX. TMO shows me to have a fair signal in my location. So far I haven't experienced your problem at my shop's location, but when I get into the Texas hill country I have had similar problems. What is your signal strength when this is happening?

I've had many blackberries and am far from a newbie, so I've done all the obligatory checks. That's what is so frustrating. I've done the searches and tried all the standard tips, tweaked settings, etc.

Also, I specifically checked the signal strength, and in all cases it's been full. (I never have signal problems where I am and can frequently talk in the elevator too).

Too weird. Hmmm....

But thanks for the suggestions.

This probably isn't it but (since you're desperate and I would be in your situation), I did have very bad Internet access after a bad Bharti install. It seems that sometimes the OS takes and sometimes it doesn't. So you could try reinstalling your OS.
Here's a lark: Are you running PocketDay? Definitely don't reinstall it at the same time as you are reinstalling the OS. In fact, I go the extra step of removing the PocketDay settings from the Backup file before restoring my data. After everything is running well, I reinstall PocketDay and do the settings from scratch. (Alternatively restore the data but before you install PocketDay clear the settings file with the PDTest utility: http://www.crossriversystems.com/files/pdtest99.jad).
This is probably a complete red herring. But if you can't access any sites on a fairly regular basis then it seems likely that either something is wrong with T-Mobile or your OS isn't functioning properly on a very basic level.

I recently changed back to the T-Mo OS to test the battery drain issue some were reporting on Telstra. Whil using the T-Mo OS I was having the EXACT same issue with the browser. I changed back to Telstra and have had no issues since.

There are a lot of people saying that TMobile has admitted having outages.
