Default trying to take apart my 7100i -- need help

Please Login to Remove!

Hey all, I just got a new faceplate for my 7100I, and I need to open the old unit up. I took all the screws out that were visable, 4 total. Still cant get it open. Any ideas? Is there a hidden screw?

Thanks!

Where did you get the new faceplate? I have been patiently waiting for them to go up for sale on the internet.

I dunno if the blackberry would have a screw hidden under the antenna.

After you remove all the T6 screws, there is usually one clip on each side of the phone. Slide your finger nail along the seam and go all around the phone. The phone should pop in half.

I have had several of these apart. After the 4 torx you simply have clips on each side near the center of the housing. Once one side is loose, the other will follow easily. Inspect the new housing and the old one and transfer everything that is missing. Stupid I know, but you would be surprised how many do not do this.....

The actual link is .... http://www.pinstack.com/blackberryfa...247&artlang=en

It is for the 7100g/x, which is slightly different but the principal is the same.
