Hi,

My blackberry was left out in the rain after I forgot it last night. Does any one know how to take this thing apart? Any help would be appreciated.

Pop the back cover off and remove the battery pronto. Allow device to thoroughly dry out before inserting battery. If device attempts to boot up while wet, the battery will short out the device.

I have done that but when I go to turn it on I get a symbol on the screen of a battery with a lightning bolt through it. Do you know what that means?

I have tried looking through all of my paperwork and cannot find that symbol anywhere.

thanks for you help.

If you tried to boot it before it dried out it may have shorted out already. However I would still leave the battery out for a few days and search here there is a thread were to dry it out after it has been removed from the case some people have put in a low setting in the oven for a while (150) others have placed it in a ziplock baggie with some of those moisture bags that come in with electronics. The key here is patience leave for at least a day or two before you try to turn it on. I would also use a hair drier on it at low setting.
