Default Typing question

We have just started rolling out the 7130e in our company and my boss showed me something I can't quite explain. Open the address book and on the find: type J and it shows K or j depending on how long you hold the key down. What is the trick to gettting the letter you want to position the list on?

I have looked through the manual and I have figured out most of suretype but I can't seem to get this one thing to work.

Because it's using SureType, it's going to bring up entries for both letters. When you type the second letter, it will further narrow your search.
