on the 7250 i can hit shift delete and cap at the same time to reset the device, but on the 7130 this does not seem to function.

i tend to drop out of a data connection often and hate taking the battery off over and over, anyone have a way to reset this thing (besides wireless on/off as that does not resolve teh connection issue) to reset with buttons?

For what it's worth, I was never able to get the 7130e to reboot with del, cap. shift. I guess its unsupported.

Why are you dropping the data connection? Have you programmed (*22899) recently?

Are you running the latest OS for it (4.1), if not upgrade, if you are then I would make sure that you have programmed the phone recently like FlyingElvis suggested.

FlyingElvis and KonTiki both offer important suggestions you should look into, but to answer your specific question, I don't think there is a way to reboot without removing the battery -- UNLESS you want to delete an application, in which case the device usually reboots. But, I'm sure you don't want to delete an application every time you need to reboot which, by the way, should be rarely.

There is a way to do the reset without taking the battery off. Verizon told me how. It was ##000000

According to this other thread, that doesn't seem to work for everyone.
